Description

Origins: Hummingbird created hybrid

Growth habit: This impressive epiphytic plant forms a large upright rosette
and with the flower spike can reach 750 mm long. The growth habit is negative
geotropic.

Foliage: The green leaves are large and spiky with a silver trichomed underside.
Flowers: The branched yellow inflorescence forms on a tall erect red stem. The
flowers are not keeled.

Cultivation: The plant is very easy large growing species that will grow in full
sun or a shaded situation. After flowering this species will make lots of “pups” or
off sets and with age can form very large clumps.

Bloom: Long, compound inflorescence that is red and yellow in color with purple tubular flowers

Ideal for: Outdoors

Light: Indirect or filtered light

Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 3-4 hours. Soak bi-monthly to rehydrate up to 2-3 hours or as necessary
